Haworthia viscosa is a species of succulent plant belonging to the genus Haworthia in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). Native to South Africa, it forms dense rosettes of fleshy, green to dark green leaves coated with a sticky, transparent liquid. The leaves are about 3 to 6 cm long and can be pointed or rounded.
Unlike some other species of the genus Haworthia, Haworthia viscosa is a bit more difficult to cultivate. It prefers well-drained, mineral soil and even moisture, but without waterlogging. The plant needs a lot of light, but also tolerates partial shade. During the winter months it should be kept cool to avoid overgrowth.
Haworthia viscosa is often collected and cultivated by succulent lovers because of its interesting shape and texture.
