Unrooted Trichocereus Pachanoi cutting. Ideal base for grafting cacti.
The cuttings are 20-25cm long and have a diameter of at least 6. The cuttings are already partially rooted.
Special price due to minor damage from scratches or bumps on the epidermis.
For rooting, the cuttings can be placed in a mineral substrate such as bird sand, perlite, pumice or similar. Depending on the environment, the first roots will appear after a few weeks. When the roots are established, the cactus can be planted in cactus soil.
Trichocereus Pachanoi grows best in well-drained, mineral-rich soil. For example, a good substrate for this cactus can consist of a mixture of mineral substrates such as lava, pumice, sand and gravel to ensure good drainage and aeration. A pH of around 6 to 7 is ideal. Conventional potting soil is suitable as an organic additive, but should ideally not exceed 60% by weight.
Trichocereus pachanoi is a species of cactus also known as the San Pedro cactus. Originally from the Andes of Peru and Ecuador, it is now cultivated all over the world.
The cactus has a columnar shape and can grow up to 6m high.
